Facade Greening
For our Dahlewitz project near Berlin, we are currently implementing an intensive greening of the facade as an important sustainable feature. A self-supporting steel structure which stands at a distance from the hall facade will be planted with vegetation up to a height of 11 metres.
This new greening concept involves an investment of approx. €600,000 and creates a vertical greened area of around 1900 sq m. This has a positive effect on the building climate, as plants absorb CO₂ and produce oxygen. Moreover, they serve to bind particulate matter and provide noise protection whilst also contributing to the preservation of biodiversity.
The large impression of the hall area is broken up by the greenery which increases the aesthetic value of the property and contributes to its integration into the surrounding area.
